Flight Data Bus Display
Excellent for Calibration & Testing of your FDR Sensors
BusWorx® 717 , along with the interface cable, monitors and displays your FDR parameter word values in real time, enabling easy interpretation of calibration values and troubleshooting of faulty FDR sensors. Both Teledyne and Hamilton Standard synchronization patterns are supported, as well as recording of FDR data bus content for post evaluation.
Users : Aircraft Operators, Military, OEM’s, Repair Stations, Accident Investigation Teams.
Compliance : ARINC 573 & 717 (FDR Data Format and Acquisition Spec.)
Aircraft Types: All ARINC 573/717 compliant flight data recording systems.
FDRS Calibration Explained
Yes, the confusion still exists between Airlines and Regulators. Back in the good old days when FDR’s contained internal transducers and sensors, there was a need to physically remove the FDR for calibration at your local repair station or facility. However, with today’s modern aircraft and recording systems, the solid state FDR (SSFDR) no longer requires calibration since it’s built on solid state microprocessor technology. However, you still need to calibrate the sensors which are transmitting the parameter values to your FDAU or FDR, but NOT the FDR itself.
If you are still struggling with a local authority who is demanding removal and calibration of your SSFDR, do contact us so we can assist.
